Laying legislation on the table is an abusive motion if the previous question fails.
After a recess, there is no motion to reconvene; the PO resumes the meeting with business in order.
There is no motion to open the floor for debate; the PO calls the session to order.
Keep questions brief and to the point (don't ask leading questions, i.e., "prefacing").
Two-part questions are not allowed (a student would have to move to suspend the rules to allow -- which takes more time!!).
